This is a quick and easy recipe that you can try. With the current cooking spree I (Beula) have been trying to stay healthy by eating salads for lunch and cooking up what you read on here for dinner. Well one afternoon I realized I had pita bread to use up, and I remembered eating a salad+pizza at California Pizza Kitchen in Chicago with my friend Becca. I quickly put this together on a pita bread and stuck it in the oven.
This is what you need to make a Pita Pizza:
- Pita Bread
- Tomato Sauce
- Shredded cheese
- Ranch dressing
In a bowl mix the chopped up lettuce and tomatoes with the ranch.
Spread some tomato sauce on your pita bread. Pile the salad mixture on the pita followed by some shredded cheese.
Stick it in the oven at 180C for few mins until the cheese is melted.
Slice some avacado and put it on the pizza once done.
IF you don’t prefer the Salad on your pita pizza… Delete the lettuce mix and just add the tomatoes followed by the shredded cheese.
