Ingredients
Steps
- Begin by blitzing the blanched almonds along with some milk into a smooth paste
- Melt some ghee (clarified butter) in a pan and add the almond paste and cook for 20minutes
- The paste should get thick and golden at this point
- To this add the rest of the milk and the 1/2 cup of sugar
- Stir well
- Finally add the cardamom powder and even saffron if you have some
- I let this cook for another 5-7mins and remove from heat
- This can be served warm or cold, so depending on what you would like, you can serve it immediately, or put it in the fridge and serve when it is cold enough
- Garnish with some almonds
