Tangdi Kabab

Got some garam masala and chicken drumsticks? then you are on your way to make some yummy tangdi-kababs! I love the easyness of this dish. You begin by getting the marinade together, then let the chicken marinate for a few hours, I left mine over night. Once you are ready to cook the chicken, place it on a baking tray and let the oven do its job. These kababs are absolutely delicious and if you have kids at home, this will become a favorite!

  • Chicken Drumsticks – 6
  • Yogurt – 1/4 cup
  • Ginger paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala – 1/2 tsp
  • Tumeric powder – a pinch
  • Chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
  • lemon juice – 4 tbsp
  • oil – 1 tbsp

Preheat the oven to 250C

Combine all the ingredients except the chicken to form a smooth paste.

Remove the skin of the drum sticks, give it a rinse and make a few slits on the flesh.

Toss the chicken with the marinade and mix well so that the chicken drumsticks are evenly coated.

Marinate for 2 hours or overnight in the fridge, depending on when you plan to cook it or should I say eat it 🙂

Cook the chicken until it is evenly cooked. I let mine brown a bit. This should take 35-40mins.

Serve hot!
