Stuffed Cheese Buns

It’s that time of year … Two sleeps till Christmas and 2014 is almost here … All the cookies that I baked have been given out to our friends. I am officially done with work for the year yay! and I am all set for family time and holidays yaaaaaayy!!!! Why am I telling you this? Well ….this is officially the last post of 2013… its been a great year blogging this year. Blogging is and has always been a huge time commitment for me since I work full time, I am a mum of a busy toddler AND I always have so much going on in my life every single day! But, every time I cook, I always have the blog in mind and I look out for something easy, flavourful and interesting to share with you guys. I have enjoyed reading messages that I have received this year – I am honoured that a lot of you want to visit me just to have me cook for you haha … I am so glad that I have inspired lots of you to cook meals at home than living off take aways!

Keep cooking! and as much as you can share what you cook by having friends, family and neighbors over for a meal

Have a super fantastic Christmas and a great start to the new year! See you in 2014

Summary

    Ingredients

    2 tbsps yeast
    1 cup warm water
    3 cups all purpose flour
    2 tbsps sugar
    1 tbsp garlic paste
    1/4 cup butter
    1/4 cup olive oil
    2 tsps salt
    1 cup shredded mozzarella
    1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

    Steps

    1. A little bowl of melted butter mixed with some herb seasoning, and a tsp of garlic paste
    2. In a large bowl mix the yeast with the warm water and let it sit for a few minutes. Next add the butter, sugar, olive oil and the garlic paste. Slowly add the flour little by little to the bowl and finally add the salt and knead the dough
    3. Once the ingredients are all well combined, place the dough in a well greased bowl. Cover it with a wet cloth and let it sit there for 30mins
    4. Preheat the oven to 180C
    5. Divide the dough into little balls. In each dough ball, I stuffed it with some shredded mozzarella, make sure you pinch the corners and seal it well
    6. Place the pinched side on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Sprinkle some more cheese on it and allow it to bake. Took me around 15mins and the buns was cooked and the cheese was nice and bubbly
    7. Brush each cheese bun with the butter-herb mix
