Crab Curry

Crab Curry Recipe by Beula Pandian Thomas

Summary

    Ingredients

    6 crabs
    1/2 tsp of mustard seeds
    1/2 tsp of fenugreek seeds
    2 largeĀ  onions diced
    3 tomatoes chopped
    1 tbsp each of garlic and ginger paste
    1/2 tsp turmeric powder
    2 tsps chili powder
    2 tsps coriander powder
    20 curry leaves
    to taste Salt
    handful of chopped coriander leaves
    Sesame Oil

    Steps

    1. As the onions soften add the ginger and garlic pastes and chopped tomatoes
    2. Give it a couple of minutes and add the masala powders: turmeric, coriander and chilli
    3. As the masala gets cooked add the crabs and season with salt
    4. Let the crabs cook for about 15-20 minutes
    5. Finally add 1/2 cup of coconut milk and freshly chopped coriander leaves
    6. Give it a good toss
    7. Your crab curry is ready to be served with some freshly made white rice
