Slow Cooker Chicken Teriyaki

It’s starting to get colder here in New Zealand, so the slow cooker is starting to show up on the counter a LOT more these days! This is a perfect recipe to put together in the morning and head out for your day. Once you are home, all you need to make is some rice (I used brown rice) and dinner will be ready to serve!

  • Course: main course

Ingredients

2 chicken breasts sliced
1 cup chicken stock
1/2 cup teriyaki sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 tbsps garlic paste
2 tbsps corn starch
1 tbsp sesame seeds

Steps

  1. In a bowl mix together all the ingredients except the corn starch.
  2. In the slow cooker, place the chopped chicken and pour the sauce that you just mixed together over it.
  3. Let this cook on high for around 4hrs or on low for 8hours.
  4. When the chicken was pretty much cooked through, I added the corn starch to the slow cooker, and stirred through until well combined.
  5. I served with some brown rice and it was delicious !!!
