Ginger Garlic Chicken

One of my favorite things to do is to wander through the asian spice stores here in Wellington (NZ). Considering this is like the least favourite thing to do for Mr.hubby, I opt to go on these trips when I am alone. It’s just fantastic walking through the aisles reading all the various spices one uses in Chinese, Vietnamese, Malaysian and various other asian cuisines … One spice that I picked up during one of my trips was the FIVE spice powder. It’s a spice mix of star anise, cloves, cinnamon, pepper and fennel seeds. When you add the combination of some ginger & garlic paste to this mix with a few other ingredients you get one delicious dish 🙂 This was a hit with my 4 year old!

Pair this dish with some asian greens like Bok Choy and a noodle or rice dish.
