We all have crazy days as mums whether you work full time or are a SAHM. I make this in moments of craziness and they go down a treat for afternoon tea. The ingredients are my daughters fav individually so when put together she’s usually pretty excited. This is perfect for birthday parties too. They are best when eaten straight out of the oven.
- 1 puff pastry sheet
- 1 chicken frankfurter
- 1/4 cup shredded cheddar/Edam/Colby
- 4 tbsp tomato sauce (ketchup)
- 1 egg
Preheat the oven to 180c
On a thawed puff pastry sheet, evenly spread the tomato sauce.
Place the frankfurter on one side of the sheet. You can alternatively use a vegetarian option!
Cover the sheet with shredded cheese.
Slowly roll from the frankfurter side into a log. Brush the pastry log with a beaten egg.
Cut into 1/2 swirls and lay on a baking sheet.
Bake in the oven until the puff pastry is golden brown and the cheese has melted through! Yum
