Toasted Muesli

There is nothing like a bowl of toasted Muesli. A few months ago, I did some research on Muesli when I bought a few packs of oatmeal by mistake… My family was getting tired of OATMEAL over and over again haha … I soon realized that it is real easy to make Muesli at home …  I had most of the ingredients at home already, so had to quickly go to the local supermarket to get some fresh nuts, seeds and dried fruit. My family was eating it up for snacks and dessert and breakfast … it was honestly SO good and tasted much better than the store bought version. If you love muesli and have an oven you should make this!

4 cups oats
1 cup raw nuts and/or seeds (I got a combo of both!)
1 cup dessicated coconut
1 tbsp cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped dried fruit
1/4 cup butter or coconut oil
1/4 cup maple syrup or honey or agave or brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
a pinch of salt


Preheat the oven to 180C

On a baking tray, combine all the ingredients. Mix well to combine

Spread it out evenly!

Bake in the oven until it is golden brown. Takes about 30-40 mins

Once cooled down, store this delicious toasted home made muesli in an air tight container!
We usually eat this up within 7-10 days! The first time I made this, it didn’t even last a week ….
