Herb Roasted Potatoes

Approx 2-3 years ago, I shared a recipe on the blog called Hasselback potatoes . I remember loving the idea of cutting slits through the potatoes and then roasting them. It made them look pretty on the platter. This recipe is a great replacement to roasted potatoes or even mash. The next time you plan to make some potatoes to add on to a chicken or meat dish, definitely try this 🙂 I had a dry mixed herb mix in my pantry that I put to use. It was a combo of herbs like basil, thyme, rosemary, parsley…. It definitely…… Read More Herb Roasted Potatoes

Kolhapuri Chicken Curry

Couple of weeks ago, the Mr. asked if I could make a chicken curry. I decided to use the opportunity and not just make the same old typical chicken curry. I have been wanting to try the Kohlapuri style for a while so was totally excited about making this curry and as you can see, I took a few photos haha… I must say it’s a bit on the spicy side, so its not superbly child friendly, but my four year old could manage just eating the chicken with some rice that had a very little curry drizzled over it….… Read More Kolhapuri Chicken Curry

Kerala Style Chicken Fry

Prawn Masala

It’s been ageeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees since I made shrimp/prawns – its definitely one of my favourite seafoody things to eat 🙂 so figured it would be perfect to make it for our Saturday lunch. I love saturday lunches especially when we are at home together … During the week we only get to eat dinner together, so getting to eat two meals over the weekend as a family together is so nice! 🙂 I decided to give a tray of shrimps/prawns that I bought from the supermarket on Friday an Indian kick. This dish has that aromatic fragrance of the spices coming through and its not very spicy I think. Its great as appetizer, or serve it along with some rice like I did I hope you enjoy this recipe like we did! It was finger licking good … yum yum yum!… Read More Prawn Masala

Lemon Pudding Cake

I realised that I don’t blog a lot of sweet stuff, its always savoury, so couple of weeks ago when I was menu planning I decided to make this pudding for the blog. K and I had eaten this at someone’s house a while ago, and he loved it that he went in for a second serving, so I didn’t think twice about making it.  I knew it would be a hit as long as it turned out right and I was so glad it did!… Read More Lemon Pudding Cake
